Meet the Team at Pets Let's Travel
Welcome to Pets Let’s Travel, where our mission is to make travel with your furry, feathered, or scaled friends seamless and stress-free. Our passionate team, led by founder Deepak Shukla and Operations Director Lydia Sims, combines a unique blend of expertise in pet care, logistics, and customer service to ensure you and your pet enjoy a smooth travel experience.
Deepak Shukla, Founder
Deepak Shukla is the heart and soul behind Pets Let’s Travel. His journey into pet travel, as you can discover on our Meet the Founder page, began not just out of a love for animals but from a deeply personal experience that many pet owners face – the challenge of moving across countries with a beloved pet. Deepak, his wife, and of course, their cat Jenny, made a life-changing move from the UK to Italy. This experience opened his eyes to the complexities and emotional stress of travelling with pets over long distances.
Fueled by this experience, Deepak was driven to create a solution to make pet travel stress-free and enjoyable. His vision was clear: to build a service that understands and caters to the unique needs of pets and their owners during travel. Under his guidance, Pets Let’s Travel was born. Today, the company is a testament to Deepak’s passion and dedication, offering comprehensive travel solutions that ensure pets are treated with the utmost care and respect.
Deepak’s leadership is not just about running a successful business; it’s about creating a community of pet lovers who support each other. His personal experiences, understanding of pet behaviour, and the logistical challenges of moving pets across borders are at the core of Pets Let’s Travel. Deepak continues to be a hands-on leader, constantly seeking to innovate and improve the services offered, ensuring that every pet and pet owner enjoys a seamless travel experience.
Lydia Sims, Operations Director
Lydia Sims, our Operations Director, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Pets Let’s Travel. Before joining us, Lydia pursued a degree in marketing, following her passion for veterinary technology. Her journey in the world of animals started early, showing Shorthorn cattle in 4-H and serving as the president of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) for two years, where she earned the highest degree possible. Lydia’s deep connection with animals is also evident in her personal life; she currently shares her home with Judge, a playful Basset Hound puppy (and two kids).
Lydia has been raised on a hobby farm and has cared for various animals, including sheep, goats, pigs, cows, ducks, and chickens. Her love for animals doesn’t stop there; she has also been a proud owner of birds, an iguana, tropical and freshwater fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, turtles, speciality toads, cats, dogs, and even snakes. Lydia’s diverse experience with animals and her expertise in operations and marketing make her an invaluable asset to our team and to all the pet owners we serve.
